Weather Underground

Weather Underground was the first web service to be on the Internet. It is hosted by the University of Michigan, where it started out as a Ph.D. candidate project and grew from there. Weather Underground obtains its information from the National Weather Service, thousands of personal weather stations around the country and around the world, and other sources. It provides weather information for the Associated Press, some newspapers, and Google's search engine. The website offers features such as clickable weather maps and a trip planner. If you want the weather for your location, enter the location name or zip code in to the search box. You can then obtain current weather conditions, a 5 day forecast, sunrise and sunset times and other information for your location.

JibJab

The Spiridellis brothers were looking to start a new entertainment brand on the Internet when they started an eCard business by the name of JibJab in their Brooklyn garage in the late 1990's. In 2004, during the US presidential election campaign, they produced a video parody of Woody Guthrie's song, "This Land is Your Land", as sung by George W. Bush and John Kerry. This video became one of the biggest viral video hits in history. JibJab continues to produce eCards and parody videos. Their parody videos are enough to keep one or many entertained and laughing for hours.
